Fortune☆LOVE Night

The Blood Tune theme song

Blood Tune (ブラッドチューン, Buraddo Chūn) is an in-universe magical girl manga[1] whose anime adaptation is very popular in ChäoS;HEAd. Officially, the anime's full name is Blood Tune The ANIMATION (ブラッドチューン The ANIMATION, Buraddo Chūn The ANIMATION) but it is often called Burachu (ブラチュー, Burachū) for short.

Blood Tune The ANIMATION has total of 26 episodes and airs these episodes throughout ChäoS;HEAd. Fortune☆LOVE Night, the opening theme song, is sung by the voice actress of the series' protagonist Seira Orgel, Akane Tomonaga. The series is Takumi Nishijou's current favorite and he lauds its director and staff.

Plot[]

The main heroine is the magical girl Seira Orgel, who in her ordinary life is a 17-year-old second year high school student attending Ryuusei High School (Meteor High School in English). Seira is able to transform into a magical girl using the power of the stars, and has a mysterious familiar named Nanika. Seira is often confronted by her pretty rival Sedna Février, a bounty hunter; fortunately, however, Seira has a 10-year-old sister, the magical girl Erin-fray Orgel, who helps out in her adventures.

In ChäoS;HEAd[]

Both Takumi Nishijou and Yua Kusunoki are big fans of Blood Tune and its heroine Seira. Takumi very often has positive, comforting delusions about Seira, and he has a large collection of figurines from various anime, manga, and visual novels, including every single Seira figurine that has come out. Blood Tune is his favorite anime ever and he watches it obsessively.

In the ChäoS;HEAd anime, Yua is only pretending to be a fan of Blood Tune and Seira as part of a cynical ploy to get close to Takumi. In the ChäoS;HEAd visual novel, however, she is genuinely a fan of Blood Tune who watches every episode and admires Seira as a heroine, and actually has that in common with Takumi, one of many ways the ChäoS;HEAd anime adaptation changes things from the visual novel in ways that change the characters.

In the spinoff visual novel ChäoS;HEAd Love Chu☆Chu!, both of the magical girls Seira Orgel and her little sister Erin-fray Orgel become real human beings after Taku uses his Gigalomaniac powers to alter the entire world to be like a gal game, and they are no longer just Blood Tune anime characters. Takumi actually succeeds at the goal “Make Anime Real” in that game. (At least it seems that way to Takumi, but this later on turns out to just be a delusion.)

In other Science Adventure media[]

In Steins;Gate, Mayuri Shiina tries to persuade Kurisu Makise to do a Blood Tune cosplay and dress up as the Post-Awakening version of Seira Orgel from Blood Tune. At first, Kurisu is interested, until she finds out about the part where her panties would be exposed with no skirt or pants and then becomes embarrassed and changes her mind. But by the time of Steins;Gate, a newer anime, RaiNet Kakeru, has seemingly become much more popular than Blood Tune.

In the Science Adventure Series universe, Erin-fray Orgel later obtains her own show, a spinoff anime of Blood Tune called Magical Girl Erin Strike Home Run (魔法少女エリン・ストライクホームラン, Mahō Shōjo Erin Sutoraiku Hōmu Ran), which Neidhardt talks about online on Twipo in the Robotics;Notes visual novel.

There is also a real-life light novel based on Blood Tune called Blood Tune The NOVELIZATION which you can actually buy.
