ChäoS;HEAd Wiki

Several ChäoS;HEAd Light Novels exist, based on the ChäoS;HEAd visual novel and related media. The first light novel that was released was Blood Tune The NOVELIZATION and then ChäoS;HEAd (spelled with different characters than usual to emphasize it is a chibi parody). There is also ChäoS;Chat too, but it is unknown when or where it was originally released. It is likely there are even more not listed here.

Even though Delusion of Zero, ChäoS;Gate, ChäoS;Chat and Tomorrow in the Box are not light novels, they are still listed here as their sections in their current states are too short for separate pages. This page will, sometime, be renamed or reworked into separate pages.

Blood Tune The NOVELIZATION[]

Blood Tune The NOVELIZATION (ブラッドチューンThe NOVELIZATION, Buraddo Chūn The NOVELIZATION) is a romantic comedy light novel based on the in-universe anime Blood Tune The ANIMATION, starring the magical girl Seira Orgel as the heroine who fights aliens, along with fellow magical girl Erin-fray Orgel (her little sister) and the bounty hunter Sedna Février (her romantic rival). The story is by Kenichi Itoi, supervised by Nitroplus, with art by Yukiwo, published by Nagomi Bunko, a light novel label of Harvest Shuppan.

Speculation[]

This light novel is probably canon, but in a different sense, meaning, it probably also exists within the Science Adventure Series too, along with existing in our world. Takumi Nishijou likely has a copy of it in his collection.

ChäoS;HEAd[]

ChäoS;HEAd (かおす;へっど, Kaosu;Heddo) is a chibi parody of ChäoS;HEAd where all the characters are small, and the title uses a mix of hiragana and katakana along with actually including a semicolon in the Japanese instead of just pure katakana like the other ChäoS;HEAd titles to emphasize that it’s a parody. It is part of a trend of chibi parodies of popular franchises, similar to Attack on Titan: Junior High, The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya, and Petit Eva: Evangelion@School. The story is by Kenichi Itoi and Satoshi Ogata, published by Nagomi Bunko, a light novel label of Harvest Shuppan. It is not canon.

Delusion of Zero[]

Delusion of Zero

Delusion of Zero is a short story about the prelude to ChäoS;HEAd from the perspective of Shogun, told to the delusionary Takumi Nishijou while Shogun transfers his memories and powers to him. The story is by Naotaka Hayashi, who was also the main writer for ChäoS;HEAd, Steins;Gate, and Robotics;Notes.

It was packaged with the CD and DVD collection ChäoS;HEAd Audio Series Complete Box (カオスヘッド オーディオシリーズ・コンプリートボックス, Kaosu Heddo Odio Shirīzu Konpurīto Bokkusu) that was published by 5pb. Records and Media Factory, which also includes many other goodies, including the same three Gero Froggies that Yua has on her bag.

It is officially confirmed as being canon. An English translation of it has been made into a video and put on YouTube (translation by ChrisGLink, programming by Double Eyepatch and Spiderfreak1011, uploaded to YouTube by Spiderfreak1011).

Another English translation of Delusion of Zero can be read in the Committee of Zero patch (external link) of ChäoS;HEAd NoAH, playing like the rest of the visual novel, and is attained after achieving the True Ending.

ChäoS;Gate[]

ChäoS;Gate

ChäoS;Gate

ChäoS;Gate (カオス ゲート, Kaosu Gēto) is a crossover short story between ChäoS;HEAd and Steins;Gate. Its full title is “ChäoS;Gate – or perhaps, a Gigalomaniac’s choice of Steins Gate?”. It involves a confrontation between Sena Aoi and Rintaro Okabe at Shibuya Station, a week prior to the Third Melt. In it Sena is her usual serious self, trying to get answers from Okabe and confronting him with her DI-Sword, while Okabe spouts his usual chuunibyou delusions, which somehow all end up turning out to be true.

The story is by Naotaka Hayashi, who was also the main writer for ChäoS;HEAd, Steins;Gate, and Robotics;Notes. It was published in a special issue of Comptiq magazine (issue #371, the November 2009 issue) called “Nitroplus Complete”, in cooperation with Nitroplus, and Comptiq magazine is a publication of Kadokawa. It is officially confirmed as being canon. An English fan translation exists (direct link), done by NS2C and Rigs, which you can read as a PDF file. It has also been made into a video on YouTube on the Spiderfreak1011 channel.

There is also a Steins;Gate wiki article on ChäoS;Gate.

ChäoS;Chat[]

ChäoS;Chat is a chat log of Neidhardt and Grimm talking about what they think about the ChäoS;HEAd visual novel. It is a parody, not canon. It has three tips listed at the end, just like the visual novel. It was written by Naotaka Hayashi, who also wrote the original ChäoS;HEAd. It is unknown where it was originally published, but probably in a magazine. An English fan translation (direct link) was done by ChrisGLink, with special thanks to Jake (@SonoMeme).

Tomorrow in the Box[]

Tomorrow in the Box (箱の中の明日 Hako no Naka no Ashita) is a three-way Science Adventure Series crossover novella featuring characters from ChäoS;HEAd, Steins;Gate, and Robotics;Notes. It was originally released on January 24, 2014 as part of the "SCIENCE ADV SERIES 5 Years Jubilee" book, which commemorated the series' fifth anniversary. The story was written by Toru Yasumoto and illustrated by Yasuhiro Ikeda; its production was supervised by Naotaka Hayashi.

There is an article about this novel on the Steins;Gate wiki.
