Daisuke Misumi (三住 大輔, Misumi Daisuke) is Takumi Nishijou’s classmate in class C at Suimei Academy and at first the only one in his class who talks to him. With Takumi, he mainly talks about girls.
Appearance[]
Misumi has green eyes, silvery earrings and tousled beige hair, and is described as attractive and generally popular with women. He wears the Suimei Academy uniform like several other characters in ChäoS;HEAd.
Personality[]
The only thing that Misumi is interested in is girls. He is a typical skirt-chaser and womanizer, described by Takumi as someone who only thinks with the lower part of his body. Whenever there is a new girl in the school, he tries to hit on her, despite the fact that he always has a girlfriend. In fact, he dates at least two girls over the course of the story - Tanaka (first name unknown) and Minako Ninomiya, both his classmates.
Even though Takumi Nishijou is quiet and introverted, Misumi talks to him and encourages him whenever he is seen with a girl. However, he has no trouble being harsh to Takumi, and in Ayase's route even admits that the main reason he talks to Takumi is to present himself as a nice person to impress girls.

Plot[]
At the beginning of the story, Misumi is Takumi’s only friend, at least as far as he knows. Sometime after the Cruc-affixion, by making him experience a delusion, Rimi convinces Misumi that they are friends and that he had become Takumi's friend with her help. After Takumi meets Rimi at home, his so-called “base”, and is confused by her, claiming to already be his friend, Rimi has Takumi talk to Misumi on the phone to confirm that the three of them are all friends. He also helps Takumi get into a Phantasm concert to see FES perform.
Misumi gradually fades in importance as other characters become more important to the story, lacking any actual stakes or backstory compared to the other characters. By the end, he is little but a minor character that occasionally appears. His main purpose is just to be a foil for Takumi, Rimi, and the rest of the Gigalomaniacs.

- The name Daisuke means “large, big” (大, dai) and “help” (輔, suke).[3]
- Daisuke's surname Misumi means “three” (三, mi) and “dwell, reside, live, inhabit” (住, sumi).[4]
