Gen'ichi Norose (野呂瀬 玄一, Norose Gen'ichi) is the president of N.O.Z.O.M.I..
Appearance[]
Gen'ichi Norose is a middle-aged businessman with silver hair. His outfit consists of a black coat, pants and dress shoes, a dark garnet red and black button-shirt, a dark garnet red tie, and a badge on his lapel.
Personality[]
As a Gigalomaniac, Norose was shaped into a bitter and cruel man, disillusioned by the horrific reality that plagued the entire world and humanity itself. He is the oldest Gigalomaniac out of anyone in ChäoS;HEAd, and as a result a very sadistic and distrustful person. It is informed that despite all his qualities, he still holds onto noble ideals, and wants to create what he believes to be a utopia for humanity. His twisted methods and personality however betrayed those ideals, turning him into the main antagonistic force and threat in ChäoS;HEAd.
DI-Sword[]
His DI-sword's appearence is unique compared to the others seen in ChäoS;HEAd, as it is colored black with golden features as opposed to lavender and pink, and is one of the largest ones, towering even himself in size.
Background[]
Gen'ichi Norose was a doctor at AH Tokyo General Hospital, conducting inhumane experiments on Gigalomaniacs in its underground facilities. He was eventually promoted to be CEO of N.O.Z.O.M.I., the company that owned the hospital, as his talents were recognised as exceptional. As the leader of N.O.Z.O.M.I., Gen'ichi Norose was tasked with completing Project Noah, and perfecting Noah II, the artificial Gigalomaniac device, by his superiors in the Committee of 300 and his financial backers, The Meiwa Party and the Cosmic Church of the Divine Light.
However, Gen'ichi Norose, Kouzou Inohana (the leader of The Meiwa Party) and Chairman Yuudai Kuramochi (the leader of the Cosmic Church of the Divine Light) secretly betrayed the Committee of 300, and rebelled against them, plotting to use Noah II in ways different than the Committee intended. In Norose’s case, he rebelled because he disagreed with the Committee’s plans for a New World Order, which would lead to a dystopia. Instead, his goal is to create a genuine utopia for humanity, where people can truly be happy, and without the genocide of most of the global human population as planned by the Committee of 300 in their plans for a New World Order.
Plot[]
Kouzou Inohana of The Meiwa Party, and Yuudai Kuramochi of the Cosmic Church of the Divine Light, co-conspire with Norose in his rebellion against the Committee of 300. However, their goals and ideals differ from his, as their plan essentially the same as the Committee's, the only difference being that only they two will control the world instead of the entire Committee. Eventually, both of them decide that Norose has gone too far, and attempt to kill him, but instead end up dying by his hand, getting tricked into shooting each other by the power of Noah II.
In Chapter 10 of the common route and the true ending, Takumi Nishijou confronts Norose, who then proceeds to use the powers of Noah II to torture him with delusions. Eventually, Takumi breaks out of the delusions, kills Norose, and destroys Noah II, putting an end to Project Noah.
In other routes[]
- In the Crying Sky ending, Norose survives, stopping Takumi Nishijou and successfully completing Project Noah.
- In the Rimi and Sena routes, Norose dies, and Project Noah is stopped, although the exact circumstances are significantly different from the common route.
- In the rest of the routes, Norose's fate is left unclear.

Etymology[]
- The name Gen'ichi means “mysterious, occultness, black, deep, profound” (玄, gen) and “one” (一, ichi).[3]

- ↑ Deduced: if Norose is born on August 19 and is 42 during ChäoS;HEAd, which takes place in 2008, then he would be born in 1966. However, since the events of ChäoS;HEAd seem to take place in 2009 for the rest of the Science Adventure Series, it is possible that his birth year was retconned to be a year later.
