Phantasm (ファンタズム, Fantazumu) is a popular Japanese four-piece Gothic punk band in the Science Adventure Series universe that is first introduced in ChäoS;HEAd and popular in the indie music scene. Their singer is Ayase Kishimoto who goes by the stage name of FES.
In Chapter 8 of ChäoS;HEAd, the band ultimately disbands.
Band Members[]
- FES (Ayase Kishimoto) - The band's popular vocalist, as well as lyricist.[1]

Prophecies[]
Some of FES's songs seem to predict the New Gen cases, however Ayase denies that. It is unknown whether this is a manifestation of her Gigalomaniac power, a different ability, or pure coincidence. Regardless, this gets her in trouble and makes her a suspect in the New Generation Madness serial killings, since those songs were publicly performed prior to those killings taking place, such as her song Crucifixion Mass ~Excerpt from the Gladioul Chronicle of the Revelation Psalms~ which predicted the Cruc-affixion case.

In the Science Adventure Series[]
Phantasm songs have appeared in numerous Science Adventure Series games and anime, specifically ChäoS;HEAd, ChäoS;HEAd NoAH, Steins;Gate, ChäoS;HEAd Love Chu☆Chu!, Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace, Robotics;Notes, ChäoS;Child, and Steins;Gate Elite.
While Phantasm temporarily broke up in 2009 due to Ayase attempting suicide, they soon got back together that same year. In Steins;Gate, Faris NyanNyan is a huge fan of Phantasm and their lead singer FES, and tries to get Rintaro Okabe to become a fan too by sending Phantasm’s music and a wallpaper image of FES to his phone as email attachments.
In Real Life[]
There have been Phantasm CDs released in real life, with Ayase's voice actress Yui Sakakibara being the singer. The full list of the real-life Phantasm songs can be found on the ChäoS;HEAd music page.
