“You May Pass” (通りゃんせ, Tōryanse) is the song that plays at street crossings in Japan. It appears in both the visual novel ChäoS;HEAd and the anime.
Plot[]
Several times, Takumi Nishijou received a mysterious call from an unknown number, but at the beginning of Chäos;HEAd he was too afraid to pick up. When he eventually checked his voicemail in Chapter 3, the song "You May Pass" played on his phone and then started skipping before it was replaced with a violent high-pitched noise. He answered an identical call on the day of the Second Melt.
Lyrics[]
While the song plays without lyrics in the game, it has lyrics. Takumi mentions remembering them from elementary school.

You may pass, you may pass
Where shall this narrow path take us to?
It is the path to Tenjin Shrine
Please, oh please, will you let us pass
Those with no business will not be let through
To celebrate the seven years of this child's birth
We have come with an offering
Going may prove easy, but returning is-
