Yuudai Kuramochi (倉持雄大, Kuramochi Yuudai) is the leader of the Cosmic Church of the Divine Light cult and goes by the title Chairman Kuramochi.

Appearance

Kuramochi has white hair with a large beard and moustache. He wears some sort of a white robe, possibly related to his position as the Cosmic Church's head and founder.

Personality

Despite his appearance as a religious figure, Kuramochi is a greedy and cruel man, wanting to control the world using Noah II.

Plot

Along with Gen'ichi Norose of N.O.Z.O.M.I. and Kouzou Inohana of The Meiwa Party, Kuramochi was tasked by the Committee of 300 with Project Noah. Kuramochi is responsible for orchestrating the New Generation Madness serial killings, giving orders to his followers Mamoru Suwa and Shino Hazuki to carry them out. Suwa and Shino blindly obey his orders, and are completely brainwashed. These serial killings are only part of the larger scheme of Project Noah.

Along the way the group decided to rebel against the Committee for their own ends, however, Kuramochi ended up being killed by Norose.

Trivia

• His character appears to be loosely based on the controversial real-life religious leader Daisaku Ikeda, who served as the third president of the Soka Gakkai, the largest Japanese new religious movement, and who also founded the Komeito Party, the third-largest political party in Japan. The fictional Cosmic Church of the Divine Light and the fictional Meiwa Party of ChäoS;HEAd are equivalent to the real-world Soka Gakkai and real-world Komeito Party, respectively.
